Take a moment to appreciate this 2015 renovation and interior design project, featuring an iconic lakefront round house. This home, originally built in 1965, is located in Mabank, Texas, just one hour from downtown Dallas. After an extensive renovation, this home is now a perfect Palm Springs-inspired weekend getaway.
The central round room in the home boasts a unique wood/beam ceiling with artfully designed floor to ceiling windows; all of which lend a spectacular view of the open water, as well as stunning sunsets at Cedar Creek Lake. This airy and sun-drenched multipurpose living and dining room was designed to be a comfortable, family friendly, and stylish retreat for entertaining guests who are escaping life in the big city. Soothing grays, cool aquas, deep blue, and rich wood tones mirror the glittering reflection of the waterfront lake view.
The space is appointed with vintage mid-century finds, original fine art, brass accents and a one of a kind artisan-made swag chandelier. The casual modern style plays well with the whimsy of a cozy children’s corner, featuring a canvas teepee for imaginative young minds.
This round house offers a truly dynamic space that is memorable for every guest, big and small.
