A Dallas native, Sue is a graduate of Hillcrest High School, and received a BBA degree from SMU. Her first job was with commercial interior designer Andre Staffelbach, while in college, while the firm was designing the American Airlines headquarters in Fort Worth. After college, she worked in real estate and mortgage banking. She also lived in beautiful Sedona, Arizona and Los Angeles, California, where she worked at the Screen Actors Guild and enjoyed performing in regional theater, especially Shakespeare productions in Griffith Park with Kate Geer’s production company.
Upon returning to Dallas, she worked at Preservation Dallas, assisting with administration, graphic design, educational programs and events. In 2014, she went back to school and earned a BFA in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Dallas. Now working for her dream firm, Maestri Studio, as a Junior Interior Designer, her interests include architecture history, gardening, music and live theater, all things British (including “Gardeners’ World”), and spending time with her family and spoiled dog, Trudi.
