Landscape & Technical Designer

In-Studio Position | Dallas, Texas

Overview

Maestri Studio is seeking a Landscape & Technical Designer who will contribute to both the creative and technical development of our projects.

Landscape is an integral part of our design process. Exterior environments are considered an extension of the architecture and interiors, shaping how a project meets the land and how outdoor spaces are experienced.

This role is collaborative and involved across many of the studio’s projects. It is well suited for someone who enjoys both design thinking and technical problem solving and who values working closely with architects, interior designers, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

Landscape Design

• Develop site plans, planting plans, and plant palettes
• Design hardscape, paving, slabs, and exterior site elements
• Specify exterior materials, furnishings, and landscape features
• Coordinate grading, drainage, and exterior lighting concepts
• Present landscape ideas and solutions to clients

Technical Documentation

• Produce landscape construction details and drawing sets
• Assist with construction documents, redlines, and coordination
• Coordinate with consultants and integrate feedback
• Provide CAD drafting support across architecture and interior projects when needed

Qualifications

• Degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or related field
• 2–5 years of professional experience
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD
• Strong understanding of construction documentation
• Knowledge of plant materials appropriate for the Texas climate
• Comfortable presenting ideas to clients
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Compensation

Salary: $50,000–$55,000 per year

Architectural Production Designer

In-Studio Position | Dallas, Texas


Overview

Maestri Studio is seeking a highly skilled CAD Assistant to support our architecture, interior design, and landscape teams in the development of working drawings and construction documents for high-end residential projects.

This role is production-focused and requires exceptional technical drafting ability, strong organizational skills, and a sharp eye for detail. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in CAD, understands residential construction documentation, and can work across multiple disciplines within a collaborative studio environment.

Responsibilities

  • Produce and revise detailed CAD drawings for:
    • Architectural plans, elevations, and details
    • Interior design documentation and millwork drawings
    • Landscape plans and site-related documentation
  • Assist in the preparation of comprehensive construction document sets
  • Coordinate drawing information across architecture, interiors, and landscape disciplines
  • Draft custom cabinetry, built-ins, interior architectural details, and design features
  • Incorporate redlines and revisions accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain drawing organization, file standards, and project documentation
  • Support permitting and consultant coordination efforts as needed
  • Assist with as-built drawings, site measurements, and documentation organization

Qualifications

  • Degree in Architecture or related field
  • 2–5 years of professional experience
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Strong understanding of construction documentation
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced studio environment

  • High-end residential project experience
  • Experience drafting custom millwork and interior architectural details
  • Familiarity with permitting and consultant coordination
  • Knowledge of SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or Revit is a plus

Architectural & Interior Design Project Designer

Architecture + Interiors | Dallas, TX

Maestri is seeking a highly organized, design-minded Project Designer to join our studio in Dallas. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across architecture, interior architecture, and interior design within a highly collaborative, detail-focused environment.

We are a full-service design studio working across custom residential architecture, interiors, furnishings, and landscape design. Our projects are deeply personal, highly tailored, and developed as one cohesive vision from the earliest sketch through final installation.

This position will work directly with Eddie Maestri and the studio team to support the design and management of residential projects from concept through construction documentation and implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and management of custom residential architecture and interior design projects
  • Produce and coordinate drawing sets in AutoCAD and Vectorworks
  • Develop floor plans, elevations, interior detailing, millwork drawings, and presentation materials
  • Create SketchUp models and assist with design visualization
  • Produce architectural and interior renderings in Vectorworks
  • Coordinate internally with architecture and interiors teams to maintain cohesive project development
  • Communicate with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors throughout the design process
  • Assist with project organization, schedules, revisions, and documentation
  • Support construction administration efforts including drawing updates, RFIs, and field coordination
  • Participate in material research, sourcing, and design presentations
  • Help maintain studio standards for organization, detailing, and drawing quality

Qualifications

  • Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field
  • 3–7 years of professional experience preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Strong proficiency in Vectorworks, including rendering capabilities
  • Working proficiency in SketchUp
  • Strong understanding of residential construction documentation and detailing
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong design sensibility with attention to proportion, materials, and detail
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative studio environment
