Maestri began with a sketch.

Growing up in historic New Orleans, Eddie Maestri was surrounded by homes with soul—weathered shutters, ornate ironwork, layers of history embedded in every detail. His parents’ love of home projects sparked an early fascination, and when they built a custom home with an architect when Eddie was just five years old, something clicked. He began filling sketchbooks with houses of his own design, imagining not just how they looked, but how people would live in them—what stories would unfold, what memories would be made. From the beginning, architecture and interiors were never separate ideas, but part of a single, cohesive vision.

Since founding Maestri in 2008, that belief has remained constant: design is most meaningful when it is personal, intentional, and fully considered from the very start.

Maestri is a full-service architecture and design firm, bringing together architecture, interior architecture, interior design, furnishings, and landscape design under one roof.

This structure is intentional. It allows every decision—proportion, material, light, furniture, and landscape—to be made in conversation with one another, rather than in isolation.

Our team is deliberately small. It is the same group developing your first concept sketches, refining every detail through design, and ultimately welcoming you home at the final furnishings installation. That continuity is where the work gains its depth. It ensures clarity in execution, accountability at every stage, and a level of detail that is difficult to achieve in a fragmented process.

Our Studio

Our studio, affectionately referred to as our “day home,” reflects the way we design. Located in Exposition Park in Old East Dallas, it sits within a small, creative pocket of the city—an area shaped by artists, makers, and independent studios.

The space itself is light-filled, layered, and intentionally residential in scale. It is not a traditional office, but an environment that feels lived in—where materials are tested, ideas are explored, and clients are welcomed in a setting that mirrors the homes we create. It allows for a more natural, personal experience of the design process, grounded in comfort, creativity, and a sense of place.
