Swiss Avenue

Swiss Avenue Residence

Dallas, Texas | 6,209 SF | 4 Bed | 4 Full + 2 Half Baths | Guest House

Originally built in 1925, this three-story home is nestled within the storied Swiss Avenue Historic District—an area known for its architectural significance and preservation standards. When Maestri Studio was brought on, the home had undergone a series of past renovations that had stripped away much of its original character. What remained was a shell—ready to be reimagined.

In response, the design team took the home down to the studs and rebuilt it with reverence for its architectural roots, layering in new and imagined historic details that felt true to the spirit of the era. The renovation introduced a gracious new primary suite, an expanded and reconfigured kitchen, larger transitions between rooms, and a fully transformed basement with a wine cellar and lounge. Finishes, mouldings, and millwork were carefully chosen to blend eras—creating a cohesive language that honors the home’s legacy while bringing it into the present.

The landscape design, completed in collaboration with Double B Design, further supports this sense of timelessness with a garden scheme that feels both classic and considered.
