Montclair

This 1926 Colonial home is located in the Kessler Park Conservation District.  Used as a convent for many years, the house remained much in its original condition with the exception of an alter that had been added off the living room.  Careful attention was paid to create a design that balanced the history and period of the home, and the bold modern design that new owners desired, and creating a functional family home with additions and plan reworking that adhered to the conservation district guidelines as well as respected the integrity of this beautiful old home.

Maestri Studio provided full-service architecture and interior design for this project.
