West Lawther

This historic Georgian estate, originally designed in 1939 by renowned Dallas architect Howard Meyer, was reimagined to bring elevated outdoor living to a landmark home. Maestri Studio transformed the property’s exterior spaces to reflect a sense of timeless grandeur—rooted in tradition, yet fully tailored for contemporary life.

Inspired by the stately gardens of British and colonial American estates, the design introduces balance, symmetry, and purposeful drama. A bold marble checkerboard pool deck surrounds the rebuilt swimming pool, while the adjacent pool house—also a guest suite—opens directly onto the terrace through sliding glass doors, allowing the indoors and outdoors to flow together seamlessly. A whimsical gatehouse and intimate firepit area add layered charm, and the expansive lawn is designed with a future tennis court in mind.

The original formal garden was respectfully refreshed and elevated for modern entertaining, with custom hardscaping, refined plantings, and architectural landscape elements that connect the home’s legacy with today’s lifestyle.

This project exemplifies Maestri Studio’s approach: honoring history while crafting spaces that feel personal, polished, and enduring. The result is a landscape that lives beautifully—season after season, generation after generation.
