Eddie, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I am a registered architect in Texas. I grew up in New Orleans, LA and was inspired by the City’s unique architecture since I was a child. My love of drawing and art led me to sketch the built environment and creating my own designs through drawing.

I attended Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas and hold a Bachelor of Environmental Design and a Master of Architecture with a certificate in Health Systems & Design. In addition, I was fortunate to spend a semester at the Santa Chiara Study Center in Castiglion Fiorentino, Italy where I focused on architectural and urban studies, as well as expanding my techniques in freehand drawing and watercolor.

After working for a large firm for 5 years, I opened my own architecture practice in 2008. After several years of working solo from my home studio, Maestri Studio put down roots in an open/creative studio in Deep Ellum/Exposition Park where we expanded our services to include full-service interior design. We are now a team of 8.

I live with my husband, Adam, with our twin 5-year-old boys in an East Dallas home we designed and had built.

Maestri Studio has completed and has current projects underway, throughout the Dallas areas of Lakewood, M Streets, Kessler Park, Preston Hollow and the Park Cities. Other projects have been completed in Boulder, Orange County, New Orleans, Houston, and the greater North Texas region.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Smooth roads are boring! We got our during the economic downturn, and have been fortunate to experience growth in recovering and strong markets. Going from a sole proprietor to running a team of 8 definitely has its growing pains and is a constant learning experience as well as understanding how to stay a competitive/successful business while remaining attainable to a diverse client base.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Maestri Studio – what should we know?

We thrive on a diversity of projects and clients. A home can be a cottage or a mansion, and we are proud to provide an excellent design for both. We appreciate the discerning taste, have confidence, and a meticulous attention to detail.

Maestri Studio will uncover your signature style.
