Luiza Alvarez is an Interior Designer with over nine years of experience in the hospitality industry, previously specializing in restaurant design. Her background in hospitality, along with her lifelong connection to art, has shaped the way she approaches her work. It has given her an appreciation for creating spaces that feel inviting, memorable, and thoughtfully considered.
A first-generation American with Brazilian roots, Luiza spent much of her childhood traveling to Brazil and spending time with family in Rio de Janeiro, where her family is from. Those experiences has a lasting influence on her, from the vibrancy and color of the culture to the details she encountered throughout her time there. Art has also always been a natural part of her life. She has memories of painting at an easel from the time she could stand on her own, so it only felt natural that art and design would become such an important part of her career.
Travel and experiencing new places and cultures are also a huge influence on Luiza's work. She loves seeing how different parts of the world approach architecture, interiors, art, and everyday life; and is always drawn to the small details that make a place unique. Whether it is a color combination, an architectural detail, a material, or simply the way a space feels, she finds inspiration in the things she discovers along the way.
Outside of the world of design, Luiza can usually be found lounging in her hammock with a thriller book, painting, traveling, or trying out the newest local restaurant. She enjoys finding inspiration in everyday experiences and bringing those influences back into her work.
