Brookside
One of our favorite kinds of projects: breathing new life into a historic home while honoring everything that makes it special.
This 1928 Colonial near Lakewood Country Club is currently undergoing a thoughtful restoration—one rooted in preservation, proportion, and possibility. Original architectural details are being carefully retained while the layout is reimagined for modern living, allowing the home to function beautifully for today without losing its soul.
Inside, a more open kitchen and dining space is taking shape, designed to support daily life and effortless gathering. Throughout the interiors, moments of unexpected character are being thoughtfully layered in—subtle, personal details that reflect the clients and bring a sense of individuality and warmth to the home. Outside, a new courtyard with outdoor kitchen and dining will extend the living spaces and create a natural connection between indoors and out.
The interiors are guided by a warm, natural palette—layered greens, terra cotta tones, and timeless materials—balanced with these personal, expressive touches to keep the home from feeling overly formal. Architecture and interiors are designed hand-in-hand, with every decision considered in context of the home’s history and its future.
Follow along as we bring this historic beauty into its next chapter.
