Kessler Park Architect & Interior Designer | Maestri Studio
Recognized by D Home as both a Best Architect and a Best Designer, one of the only Dallas
studios honored on both lists.
Kessler Park is one of the most topographically dramatic neighborhoods in Dallas. Set in the
hills of north Oak Cliff, it is defined by rolling terrain, mature hardwoods, and winding streets that
feel a world away from the flat grid of much of the city. Its homes span Tudor, Spanish, and
midcentury styles, many of them historic and protected within the Kessler Park Conservation
District.
That landscape creates both opportunity and complexity. Homes can be designed to take
advantage of elevation changes, long views, and the interplay between structured architecture
and natural landscape, but the site planning and structural demands are real. Because Maestri
Studio brings architecture, landscape, and interior design together, we design Kessler Park
homes that work with the hillside rather than against it.
Our Montclair project in the Kessler Park Conservation District is a clear example of our
approach. A 1926 Colonial that had served for years as a convent, it called for a design that
balanced renovation and reimagination, modernizing the kitchen and bathrooms while building
on the home's existing character. The transformation was featured in The New York Times.
Working within the conservation district requires understanding the guidelines that protect the
neighborhood's character and designing new work that feels inherent to the home rather than
grafted on. That sensitivity is at the core of how we work.
Maestri Studio is one of the only Dallas firms recognized by D Home as both a Best Architect
and a Best Designer, with work featured in The New York Times, Luxe Interiors + Design,
House Beautiful, and Architectural Digest. If you are planning a project in Kessler Park, we
would love to talk to you!
